The Center for Teaching Through Children’s Books, part of highly respected National-Louis University, has generously donated prominent space in its library for published Illinois authors and illustrators to show off their books in an ongoing and ever-changing display. Many teachers and librarians use this library, part of NLU’s Skokie campus, so these books will be seen by them and potentially generate sales and/or school visits.
The book display will change about every 5-6 weeks and will be based on varying themes, from general to specific. General themes might include the different seasons, poetry, middle-grade fiction, nonfiction, young adult fiction, and holiday books, while more narrow or specific themes will be derived based on book submissions. Authors and illustrators can also include promotional materials to accompany their displayed books that teachers and librarians may take with them.
After coming down from display, the books will be donated to the library or, if preferred, mailed back to you if an SASE is included with your submission. To have your book put on the list for display, or for further information, please contact Pamela Dell at email@example.com.
