Cynda Strong
Cynda Strong and her family live in Springfield, Illinois where she teaches high school English.  Her focus is turning teenagers into good writers.  Her classes concentrate on creative writing, essays, and research.  Cynda's students have won local and national contest recognition in essays, short stories, research, and poetry.

Cynda developed a class for high school students interested in elementary teaching and discovered the world of children's literature and began submitting her work.

Cynda's work has been published in Today's Christian Woman, Capper's Chicken Soup for the Soul, women's Bible studies and devotions, and educational testing. She has won or placed in the poetry competitions of the Mississippi Valley Poetry Contest in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

Her first children's picture book, WHERE DO ANGELS SLEEP? (Concordia Publishing House 2007) tells in simple rhyme the comfort our guardian angels provide.

The RESURRECTION was released in 2010 (Concordia) as the year's Easter book.

Cynda's story Guess Who Has the Chicken Pox was the July 2010 winner of
children's stories at smories.com.

Cynda is the Springfield area representative of SCBWI.

Cynda is available for school visits for preschool through high school.
