SCHOOL VISITS/PRESENTATIONS
Natalie will adapt a program to meet your school’s or library’s needs. However, workshops are intended for class-size groups (elementary and middle-school age).
Insects Are Everywhere!
This presentation shares the basics about insects, such as body parts, camouflage, classification, and the orders of insects. In addition, Natalie will bring mounted insects to compare and contrast and read from her book DON'T SQUASH THAT BUG!. This presentation also works for a reading or Open House night, where she can sign books.
From One Writer to Another: Writers’ Workshop
Revision is more than a matter of checking for proper grammar and spelling. This presentation focuses on word choice and characterization. Natalie demonstrates how she revises her work and also allows students time to jazz up their own work.
Adult Workshop: Writing Children’s Books: From Idea to Publication
This presentation is for adults on the Do’s and Don’ts of getting published as a children’s author. Natalie shares the different venues for children’s book writing and how to submit a manuscript.
