Claudia Guadalupe Martinez is the award winning author of THE SMELL OF OLD LADY PERFUME (Cinco Puntos, 2008).  This debut Middle Grade/YA novel has  appeared on reading lists like Chicago Public Library’s Best of the Best, ALAN’s Picks, and Teaching Tolerance.  It has also been taught at several teacher colleges and local classrooms.  Claudia has spoken at NCTE, the Texas Book Festival, CPS’s Battle of the Books, schools and more.   Her presentations intend to engage and inspire, and she can tailor visits to meet your specific classroom needs.
