Beth is an NPR commentator and author of the award-winning memoir "Long Time, No See" (University of Illinois Press, 2003). Her children’s book is available in Braille for children who are blind, and Beth reads from the Braille version during presentations. Beth lives in Chicago and writes for the Chicago Tribune, the University of Illinois Alumni magazine, The Bark, Dog Fancy and Dogs for Kids. Her award winning essay about the Library of Congress Talking Book program was published in Woman’s Day in 2007 and appears on the American Library Association’s new web site. She teaches a weekly memoir-writing class for senior citizens and works part-time at Easter Seals Headquarters in downtown Chicago, moderating their autism blog.
