Stacy Curtis
Stacy Curtis has illustrated many children's books including the New York Times Best Seller, "The 7 Habits of Happy Kids," written by Sean Covey and the "Raymond and Graham" chapter book series written by Mike Knudson.

Stacy loves to step away from his drawing board to visit libraries and schools and meet the young readers of his books face-to-face.

His visits promote reading, creativity and interaction with the audience allowing them to become part of his creative process.

Presentation #1: "What Does An Illustrator Do?" (All ages)
Stacy discusses the role of an illustrator, why an illustrator has to read, how a children's book gets made and the presentation gets interactive when the audience takes on the role of an art director! This presentation is easily adapted for a Career Day presentation!

Presentation #2:  "Art and Creativity" (For grades 4 and up, even high school! Great for art class demonstrations!)
Stacy discusses the many different career paths an artist can take, take a look at Stacy's art and how to be creative and even more creative! The presentation gets interactive when the audience gets creative with ideas and art!

Presentation #3: “What next?” (For high school students)
Stacy talks about how he went from “the class artist” to a New York Times Best Selling children’s book illustrator.

If the school visit is an all day visit (4 presentations, max), Stacy is available to have lunch with students who are particularly interested in art.

Stacy’s presentations can be adapted to your school’s or library’s needs.
