of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Lisa Cinelli is a Teaching Artist. She works as a painter, children’s book author/illustrator and instructor. She conducts original hands on workshops throughout the country focusing on one-of-a-kind hand made books and children’s book illustration. Lisa currently teaches Children’s Book Illustration at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She leads teacher workshops and art classes for grades 6-12 through the Marwen Institute, an after school arts based program serving the under served in Chicago. Lisa developed and teaches workshops for high school students in the Chicago Metropolitan Area participating in one of the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Fairchild Challenges. In all of her workshops, at schools, conferences or in her private studio classes, Lisa’s students explore the joy and wonder of incorporating art materials and stories to create books and picture book illustrations.
